Well, sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I have had about 3 sicknesses all wrapped up into one this past week. So I've had a lot of downtime, and not getting a lot done time. That doesn't leave much time for blogging! :) I'm still pretty sick, but trying to get better. I am so ready to be a 100% mom and wife again...and I'm SO DONE with winter! I'm ready for SPRING! :) Anyway: I'm trying to get better fast because we are going to Denver, CO tomorrow...and our flight leaves at 6am. Yeah, the early flight is not fun, but what can you do? Brian has meetings for work there this week and Kylie and I didn't want to be left alone for a few days and it was perfect that he was traveling where my family lives! So...we are going with and getting some family time in! We'll get to see grandparents, uncles, an aunt, cousins, and friends! We're excited...if only I could feel better!!!! When I get back, I'll get back on the blog bandwagon and post more! Hope you are all doing fabulous and have a great weekend/week! :)

Ni-ni time...you would think!

So how funny is Kylie? Well, very funny I'd say! :) She absolutely LOVES her bed! She has always been such a good sleeper for mommy. (Anyone that knows me knows I NEED my sleep! No...it's not on my wish list of things I would like to do, it's on my "I have to or you don't want to be around me" list of things to do!) But she has decided to take it even a step further. When I go to get her out of bed, either after a full nights sleep or just a nap, she pops her binkie's back in her mouth (yes, she still has her binkie...I'm giving her until her 2nd birthday to still use them...I think! :) ), plops herself down on her stomach and crunches up her knees under her, and wants me to cover her with her blankie. She'll then lay there for another 5-10 minutes or so. It's so funny to me, so I decided to grab the camera and record it. :) She doesn't like me leaving the room, but it gives me a few minutes of "let's put her laundry away without her throwing the freshly washed and folded clothes out of the basket onto the floor" moments. Those are always great! I usually have to bribe her out of her crib by offering her milk or something. She just loves her bed...how can you argue that?! :)

Stopping to smell the roses....

Wow....this February has been busy. Sorry it's been so long since I have posted! So much going on. Busy weeks, friends in town, Valentine's Day, a 20-month old that runs around like crazy, and on and on...it all leads to not much time for other things! :) I have lots of pictures that I will hopefully get posted as the weeks go by. I just had two former college roommates come visit me this past weekend. (one from CO and one from NJ) and we had a BLAST! I got to go shopping, see TWO movies (I doubled the amount of movies I had been to since I had a child in one weekend! :) ), ate yummy food, got to do a little stamping, chatting, ate more food, and just had a blast! Thanks Tara and Margret for coming to visit! What a FABULOUS time! Thank, Brian, for taking over at home so that I could have the time to play! You are AMAZING!!!
Anyway: I got these beautiful flowers for Valentine's Day from Margret and her mom, and Kylie fell in love with them yesterday. She loved smelling them, kept wanting to touch them, and just be near them. She reminded me that sometimes you have to take a few moments to stop and take the time to notice the small things in life! So we both did! I love this little girl! Have I said that before? :) Brian had a dinner meeting last night for work, so we got to spend the whole day together. I am so lucky to have her as my daughter and to be able to stay at home with her every day! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! LOVE YOU KYLIE!!!! You're the BEST!!!!
Have I mentioned lately that I love this little girl with all my heart?! :)
Have I mentioned lately that she is SO SMART too?! :)

It all goes so fast....

So I was looking through past photos today and found these of us taking Kylie home from the hospital. I just can't believe Kylie was ever this small. I now have this energetic, full of personality, crazy, toddler. It's just amazing to think she was this little just 20 months ago. When I look at these photos, it all comes rushing back though. I am so lucky to be the mother to this incredible child.....she's my buddy and we have so much fun together. I am always amazed at how fast she learns things and how fast her brain soaks up information. It really is a sponge, isn't it?! :) Yesterday, my cousin and her DARLING baby (Hi Em and Bay!) came over to see our new house and play for a little bit. Bailey is almost one and it was so crazy to even think of Kylie even that young. There is so much difference in even those few months. It's amazing how time flies! And sad! (Thanks again, Em, for coming! I had a blast! :) ) Anyway, enjoy the photos!

Yes! It's true! Opinions are needed please!!!

Ok...if anyone reading this knows me at all, you know my obsession is Stampin' Up! Well...I am submitting some things to them to be a helper at our big convention held each year. (It's the 20th year anniversary celebration!!!!) So I need some thoughts on my first run of items that I've made. We have to make a 6 x 6 brag book page, either an 8 1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12 scrapbook page, and 3 cards. So these are my 5 items....WHAT DO YOU THINK? Should I start from scratch? Should I just replace some things? Do you like something but think it's needs different colors or something else? What's your fave? What should I make sure stays in? Just thought this would be a great way to get some thoughts from everyone! Even if you've never commented before or don't know me...please feel free to let me know! :) THANKS!!!!

So all the items together....

8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page

6 x 6 brag book page

Card #1 That flower is actually a bunch of circles punches folded really cool. It looks better in real life, promise! :)

Card #2 This is a fun circle card that opens where the ribbon is tied. The center is really glittery, and again...does look better in read life.

Card #3 I just realized I don't have an up and close picture of that one, but it's the one with the gray background (Basic Gray for you SU lovers) with the pink flower (Regal Rose) in the middle with the matching Regal Rose ribbon. The flower is up on dimensionals and the phrase on it says, "embrace life."

So what do you think?!?!
