It's still winter, huh?!

So....we had an appraisal done on our house, and we just got it back. This was the picture that was on the front.....



Now...I love our house, but THE SNOW!!! Are you kidding me!? I'm a bit sick of it already! I guess this was the inspiration for me to go looking through photos of this past summer. Guess I was looking for sunnier times. :) Well, of course I found some cute ones of Kylie. And I started thinking about how AMAZINGLY FAST they grow!!! Especially in these first few years. Kinda makes me sad. So my advice to all with kids/grandkids/nieces/nephews/etc.....APPRECIATE them at the stage they are in and LOVE every second of it. Time really flies too fast! Anyway: just wanted to share some photos of Kylie that I found that I love! :) Hope you all had a great weekend! Yes...notice all the SUN in the photos!!!! Gotta love it! (Don't know why I am living in Utah if I really hate winter this much! :) )

Kylie LOVED, LOVED swinging! This is actually at a park in Castle Rock, CO when we were visiting some of Kylie's cousins!

And of course.....what's a summer without lots of trips to the pool?! Kylie LOVED being in the pool! Sometimes floating along in her little float, other times kicking and splashing and having fun. She loves to wear mama's sunglasses too! :)

Such a girl already...

So...Kylie makes me laugh all day. What can I say, this kid is hilarious! :) She has so much personality and I love her more than I ever thought possible. Her smile is so contagious and can brighten your life in less than a second. Being a mom really is the BEST! I wouldn't trade it for anything! So...I wanted to share a few pictures that I took of her tonight. Yes...tonight! Look how quick I am updating my blog! Amazing! :) ALL of you should be proud! Anyway: we were playing downstairs and I look up and see her walking around with her "purse" that she got from her Grandma Brown for Christmas on one arm, and her toy cell phone up to her ear. And she was totally babbling into her cell phone!!!! IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!!!! She's 20 months old today....I guess going on 16 already!!! Where do they get these things?! I wish I would have caught it on video, but I didn't. So you'll have to settle for these photos I took of her.







P.S....anyone want to tell me how to get 2 pictures next to each other? I struggle...what can I say? :)

Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday to Brian!!!! So sorry I am a bit late on this, but Brian's birthday was on January 20th. That's a big day in my family. It's my oldest brothers birthday, AND the day my dad had his liver transplant....4 years ago! So....big celebrations in our houses that day! :) But I want my husband to know how much I love and care for him! I am so thankful for all the sacrifices he makes for our family. I love the father he is to Kylie, I love how he works so hard so I can stay at home with Kylie, I love how he provides so well for us, I love how he loves me and takes care of me, I love his charity and love for others, I love everything about him! Thanks, Baby, for being the man you are! Happy Birthday!!!!

Flashback to Christmas...

I know it's been awhile since I posted (minus my last post a few minutes ago about my Palm Springs trip). I haven't even put any Christmas photos up. We had a great Christmas this year. My parents and Cameron came and then Matt came up from Provo. Brandon, Leah, Lexy, Crae, Kaylee, and Camden....WE MISSED YOU!!! Everyone ended up staying through the New Year, and beyond. I think everyone was here about 2 1/2 weeks. So we had lots of fun bonding time. It was a great holiday, and we were all sad it was over.

Our Christmas Baby!! Grandma is carrying on the tradition that my Grandma always did! How sweet are they! :)

Kylie with her fave Christmas toy. Don't you just love how you can buy them the best, expensive toys out there and they fall in love with the $10 toy! :) This is a little doggie that she pulls around, and that's all she wanted to play with all day. :)
Jan had everyone over for Christmas Day for some AMAZING food! She is the best hostess! :) Thanks Jan! While there, we got a much needed photo taken of our family together.
Unfortunately my Grandma ended up in the hospital over the holiday. As we went to visit her I saw this priceless moment! So sweet!!!! I LOVE LOVE this photo!!!
A family game night. We had a few of these while everyone was here, and we had a blast! Grandma Brown....this is for you!!! Yahtzee!! :) Kylie with another one of her fave toys....her little people barn. She loved saying all the animal sounds and would play with this for a long time.
Our little darling angel sporting her Disney Princess glasses with her Uncle Matt! She LOVES him and LOVES playing with him. He's one ball of energy, so who can resist?! :)

Palm Springs....

So I was SO LUCKY to be able to go soak up some sun this past weekend. I went to a Stampin' Up! Leadership convention, and it was a BLAST! It was in Palm Springs, CA and I was gone from Thursday to Sunday. This was the first time leaving my family and going somewhere by myself. So that was a bit weird, but a good break as well. My mother-in-law came to spend some time with Brian and Kylie, so I knew they were well taken care of. Here are a few shots of the trip, but as I went through my pictures I realized I really didn't take very many. So....I will have to get pictures from other there (there were 12 total in our group that went) and share some of those. Hope you are all doing well!!!


Jill and I soaking up the sun. It felt SO SO SO good and I tried to get as much as I could of it!!!! (my eyes are so sensitive to the sun, so I can't keep them from squinting to save my life! :) ) Our fearless leader, Shelli Gardner! :) She is one amazing woman! What can I say...I love this woman! :) When I grow up I want to be just like her. :)
LOOK AT THE PALM TREES!!! LOOK AT THE SUN!!!! Any of you that have spent a winter in Utah, know how happy it can make you to see sun for longer than 10 mins. I am SO READY for spring/summer, so this was a VERY nice getaway!!! The two girls on the right are Sherri and Deborah, the two girls we traveled with. HOWEVER, I don't have a picture of all four of us. So sad. But here's proof we were all together! :)

Wow...where have you all been?!

Hey there everyone! Where have you been? Ok...I know I have not posted anything lately. I am sorry! Life has just been crazy! With the Holidays, family in town, and all the stuff that goes along with that...things have been busy. It's important to note that we are having a blast though! Kylie has loved people around to give her tons of attention! :) I still need to upload some pics I have taken, but until then....here are a few pics of Kylie that I haven't shared yet. These happen to be from her frist day at nursery. She never let me leave, but hey....she stayed in there at least! We'll get there! :)

We got this alligator (we think that's what it is anyway) at IKEA and she can't get enough of it! She loves to roll around with it and carry it all around the house. It's as big as she is!!
She loves her Daddy time! When he's around, he is all she wants! :)
