You guys asked for them....

Well, you have been requesting house pictures, so here we go! :) You'll have to forgive me that it's not all decorated! We're getting there. :) We have things hanging out ready (haha...no pun intended!) to be hung on the walls, etc, etc. And our house is calling for Christmas decorations, and we'll get some of those up this week. We are putting up our tree tonight too, so don't worry.....we will have one! :) But here we go with some pictures.... (I apologize in advance for the length of this post!)
When you first walk into our house the dining room is on your left (oops...forgot a picture of that...sorry!) and then the living room is on your right. The wall you don't see is a wall with windows. We couldn't decide if we should do blinds or shutters....it was a big debate. We finally ended up taking the plunge and did shutters. I am SO GLAD we did! I LOVE them! I think they look great, they let in a lot of light, and they are just fabulous!!! I think it was worth the price for sure! Anyway: so that is the wall you don't see. Sorry. Guess you'll have to come see them for yourself! :)
Then if you pass by the living and dining room the stairs going upstairs will be on your left, and then our family room. It turns out there is a lot more room in this room than we thought. Which we are excited about. (Pardon the blankets/toys/etc. out! :) ) And a nice shot of Uncle Matty playing with his Kylie. They have officially bonded and they LOVE each other! :) Kylie can't get enough of him when he's around and HATES when he leaves!
Another view of our family room. It is a big, open space, and it's a 2-story height room. We LOVE that openness it gives and the fact you can look into the room from the "bridge" (that's what they called it on the blueprints anyway) between the bedrooms upstairs. The ONLY Christmas decor that we have up right now is what you see here. :) So sad. I'll get there...just give me a few more days! :) Here is the kitchen. Our family room open ups into our kitchen, and again...we love that openness! So here is our kitchen. We LOVE our kitchen! A close up of the cooking area of the kitchen.

This is my cutie Brian in his office. He loves having a space to go to play with his work stuff and such. :) There is a chair in the corner, and you can barely see a bookcase to the right. Kylie enjoys having the bookcase there....it gives her something to do when she's in there (pulling all the books off!). This is the bathroom on the main level. Well....I guess from this photo...the shower curtain! :) It's right next to Brian's office (which is right off the family room) and also next to our hall closet. Didn't get a photo of the closet. :) Sorry!

As you come up the stairs, the room right in front of you is the Master. We lucked out to find a floor plan we loved that had a great sized Master bedroom. It has vaulted ceilings, almost a whole wall with floor to ceiling windows, etc, etc. It's great....I do have to say! As we walked through other models and saw that people didn't take the option of vaulting the ceiling, we thought they were crazy! We're so happy with it! Anyway: a few shots. Again...you'll have to come visit to get the full view! :)
Our bed and nightstands. We just got this bed set actually (our old room would NEVER have held this furniture!) and we are very happy with it. It was a big step for us...buying a bedroom set that we hope to have for years and years, and so I was glad we found one we really liked and LOVE now that we have it!

So this is the wall our bed faces (the doors into our bedroom are right to the left of this. We were going to put the TV that is on the floor up on our chest of drawers, but turns out.....it was WAY too top heavy. Having a young child with more on the way one day (NO...not pregnant!), it was too dangerous. So....we had to go get a lighter TV to put on top. We just haven't moved the other one yet, hence the 2 TV's. It won't be saying there! :) We also have a few more furniture items on it's way to our house. A big chair will be in the corner where the extra TV is right now. We'll make that a little reading nook.

Our dresser I barely got in the shot...sorry. But it matches our other furniture and has a mirror on top. Another piece of furniture we have is a leather storage bench that we will probably put at the foot of our bed. Plus, we have things on the wall to hang, so sorry those aren't up! :)
This is Kylie's fun bathroom. I wanted to deck the bathroom out in flowers and pink, etc, etc. But if our next child is a boy, I didn't want to have to change it all again. So I did rubber duckies. And Kylie LOVES them, so I guess it was meant to be.
A view of the full shower curtain. Bathrooms turn out to be a bit hard to take photos of...sorry! :)
I hope you are all doing well and getting ready for Christmas! We are excited....we are hosting Christmas at our house for all who want to come! :) My parents and two brothers are coming so we're excited about that. Should be fun! Would love to hear from all of you! And side note....I have all my Christmas cards almost ready to go, so hopefully you'll see them before the New Year! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

A few photos....

Well.....it's finally happened! I have gotten a few photos of our house taken and uploaded to my computer. These are just photos from our basement level, I'll try to do the main level and upper later soon. :) But hey....better something than nothing, right?! And we aren't done with everything yet, but we are getting there! We had our basement finished and did 9' ceilings instead of the standard 8'. So we actually get a good amount of light and it doesn't feel too much like a basement. We are SO GLAD that we did finish it because it gives Kylie a great place to stay and when we have visitors (hint, hint!!!) they can have their own place to stay. Plus, it makes a GREAT haven for my stamping room!!! :) (I don't have photos of that yet, but I will take some soon for those that are interested. :) ) Anyway...enjoy!

This is the oasis for our guests.....so feel free to come visit! We love visitors! So please come see us!

So I am standing in the corner of our TV area here. The TV is to my left, along with another love sac. I want bright colors down here, hence the bright pillows. :) I think I may have to paint sooner than I wanted to, but we'll see. :)

The view standing behind the TV area. You can see our TV and other LoveSac there. Then our elliptical is behind me.
I really wanted for our new house to have a fun kids area with lots of toys. I wanted Kylie to have a place where she could make a mess if she wanted and it was away from our main living area. So I am SO GLAD that we have this spot. It's been a blast to have, and Kylie loves it.

Here is the bathroom downstairs. It's right across the hall from the guest room.

Hope you enjoyed the photos and I will get some more soon!

More Kylie...

So since I have failed in getting pictures of our new house up, I decided to post some more of Kylie. :) I need to get house pictures posted, I know, but I thought I would have things all decorated by now. Well....I don't. So I am just going to take pics of what I have done now, and call it good. So I will post those soon. But...while you are waiting.....here is my sweet baby! She was very excited she got to play with Brian's Blackberry. He doesn't let her really play with it, and she LOVES it! So she was thrilled she found it when he wasn't looking. :) Of course, even after he saw her playing with it, he didn't take it away. She's such a Daddy's girl!!!

I know, I know....

I owe pictures! I am sorry I haven't gotten to it yet! It's just that Kylie has been super sick. I thought she was getting better, and then last night she was up just about all night long. None of us got much sleep and she was miserable. So first thing in the morn I called the doc and got an appointment. Turns out...she has 2 ear infections, RSV, and a sore throat. POOR BABY! We got her on the right meds, so hopefully that helps. I just feel SO BAD for her. I've been crying as much as her, just watching her as she is so sick. I think she is feeling better though, after a long nap today, so I am happy. Anyway: with that all going on plus not being able to find the proper equipment in the boxes in my stamping room to upload pics...I haven't been able to get them posted. I will soon though...promise! :)

Up and Running...

Hey there everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that we are in our new house!!!! These past few days have been CRAZY BUSY but it's fun getting everything all put together. I don't have pictures uploaded just yet, but I'll get to it soon. :) We just barely got internet hooked up today, so I feel like my lifeline is back. :) I at least wanted to give everyone the update that we got in! We moved out of our old house and into our new house on Wednesday. Then we have spent the rest of the time unpacking/organizing/shopping/coordinating deliveries of things and installation of things/etc. THANK YOU to those that helped move! We couldn't of done it without you! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU to my INCREDIBLE brother, Matt (who was with us ALL day!!), my INCREDIBLE aunt, Jan (who fought AWFUL Holiday traffic to get there to help), and our INCREDIBLE friends, the Young's (who are always so dependable...even if they had their own Thanksgiving vacation to get ready for). THANK YOU ALL!!!! The other people that helped were friends of Brian's that I am not sure read this. :) SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Wanted to mention those amazing people.

In all the chaos, we had a GREAT Thanksgiving even! My amazing Aunt Jan and my amazing Grandparents came up so we didn't have to spend it alone. We found a place serving Thanksgiving dinner, Cracker Barrell, and had an AMAZING meal! :) I recommend going out to eat on Thanksgiving...it was fabulous food and no clean up! :) There were lots of laughs, good stories told, great company, and a ton of fun. "A Thanksgiving for the books!" as Jan said.

Our house is starting to come together and it feels SO GREAT to have all this stress behind us. We are SO SO blessed that everything worked out as it did. Amazing. Thanks, Heidi, for being a great realtor and helping us with everything! You were fabulous and now that we live so close....we need to play! Thanks for everything!!!!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving as well and I'd love to hear what everyone did! I hope you all are enjoying this season!

IT RECORDED!!!!

Well...IT FINALLY HAPPENED! For those of you that knew about the stress we had selling our house...you'll appreciate that it is closed and recorded as of today!!!!!!!! For those of you that didn't know the stress...it was stressful. :) But.....YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEE!!! Then the mortgage lady told us today that she promises she will have our new house record and everything on Wednesday so we can move in that day! FUN!!!! We are so excited and it is such a relief. Although, I have to say that I shed some tears today as I finished packing up my stamping room. I am a bit sad to leave our Garn Way home. It holds some great memories, and I get a bit teary eyed thinking of it. This is where Brian and I had our first kiss, where he proposed, where I found out I was pregnant, where we decorated Kylie's first room, where we brought her home from the hospital, where we have shared a lot of memories and experiences. I'll miss this place. It was/is a great home, and I hope the next people that live here love it as much as we did!

I've Been Tagged....

Thank Em for tagging me! I am not good at this either, but I'm doing it for you! So hope others enjoy! :)

6 facts/habits about me:

1. I have been skydiving twice in my life. I one day want to become a certified skydiver so I can jump out of a plane whenever and wherever I want!!!

2. I am not sure if this is a habit or just a big obsession, but I am obsessed with anything Stampin' Up! What started out as a creative outlet for me, has now become a full blown obsession! I love that it gives me an outlet in my hectic life as a mother/wife and I love all the fun things you can do. I love stamping and using the left side of my brain on a regular basis!

3. I'm in love! I am super in love with both my husband and my daughter! My daughter is my angel and I look in her face and am still shocked at her beauty! She's stunning! She makes me laugh all day and I love her determination! My husband is so incredible and does so much for our family! He is such a great provider, in all aspects of our life. My fave times in life are our family times, and watching him play with Kylie.

4. I have a big habit or checking email. If I am home, I constantly check email as I am running around the house with Kylie, and I love getting new email. (I also love comments on my blog...hint, hint!) This blogging thing has turned out to be quite fun too!

5. I AM SO EXCITED TO MOVE INTO MY NEW HOUSE!!!! Hopefully all goes well and we have our house close/record on Wednesday so we can move in that night. If anyone wants to come up to Kaysville Wed night to help us unload, we'd love to have you! :) But I have loved the process of watching our house be built and can't wait to move in. We saw it as an overgrown lot, to the hole being built, foundation poured, framing up, and all the finishing touches. It's been a blast to pick everything out and see it all come together. We've been doing this for a long time, so I am THRILLED we are almost done!!!

6. I love tropical places. From the time I was little, I have always loved the water. I was never afraid of the waves on the beach, or jumping into the deep end of the pool or anything. I could swim all day if given the option. So my goal is to visit every tropical island that appeals to me before I die. :) I went on my honeymoon to Jamaica, and fell in love with that place. But I don't know if I can go back until I have visited more! Ok.....I could....I just want to see more places. And maybe one day have a vacation home on a tropical island.

I think I am suppose to tag other people by name, but instead....I'm tagging everyone! If you read this, you are "tagged" and I would love to read on your blogs 6 habits or facts about you!!! So get going!

Fall Fun....

Here are some shots we got of Kylie enjoying the Fall weather this Saturday. She is such a fun girl. It is SO GREAT seeing her personality come out. She LOVES to be outside, LOVES to play with her parents, LOVES clinging to her Daddy whenever he is around, etc, etc. She definitely is a strong willed girl and knows what she wants. I have to trick her to get her to let me take a picture of her. If she sees the camera out, she turns around the other way. It's quite funny, actually. :) But here are a few shots...

This is my fave one, I think. Ok...well one of my faves. :) I had to play this game with her to get her to turn around and then surprise her with the camera! :) She LOVES carrying that book around and she always loves a good set of keys to hold as well.

This little girl is quite adventurous. She used to always make sure she was by one of her parents. However, that is not the case anymore. We stayed a safe distance behind her during her travels to see how long it would take for her to look around to see if we were there or not. It was actually quite a while. She wants to explore the world on her own.

I love to watch her figure out/experience new things. From the time she was a baby, she LOVED when the wind would come and blow through her hair and in her face. Now, she loved watching all the things around her blow away as well. She also loved crackling the leaves in her hands and breaking them all up. She was having a blast. I learn from her that I need to take the time to enjoy the little things in life.

Those angel hands playing with the leaves. She truly is my angel.

House is just about done!!!

Here are a few pics of our house that is ALMOST DONE!!! We do a walk through on Thursday, and then close the next Wednesday!!! (Yes...the day before Thanksgiving! Fun!) So now just touch-ups have to be made, and a few other things have to be changed. For example, they put the wrong lights in all our bathrooms so they have to go back and put the right ones in, etc, etc. We can't wait though! Here is what it looks like now....

This is the view when you walk into our house. The dining room is on the left, the living room is on the right and then the family room is straight ahead.

I know this isn't a great shot, but this is our Master bedroom. At least you can see the carpet and paint colors in this shot. The bathroom is through that door.

This is our kitchen. We are getting stainless steel applainces delivered after we move in, so I am sure that will look better when they are in. But this is it so far!

Temple Square Fun!!

Sorry it's taken me a few days to get time to post these. But on Sunday we went up to Temple Square to walk around as a family. It's been awhile since I have gone through the Vistors Center and such. They have changed it a lot, and it's amazing. They have this section where they have a copy of the Bible and the Book of Mormon in all the languages its been translated. They are all sitting on this round furniture piece with different levels around this big globe. So amazing to see all of that! Kylie loved that spot too.

The Temple at the Reflection Pool. Such an amazing building and to think of the Pioneer hands that took 40 years to complete it. Very humbling!

Our happy little Kylie that loves to explore new places. She does NOT want to be held, in a stroller, be guided by holding her hand or anything!!
This is my fave photo. My sweet husband with his daughter. I LOVE this!!!!

Of course Kylie never sits still for too long to get photos. She is already looking for the next place to go explore! :)
This is the place that they have the Bibles and Book of Mormons. Really cool to see the different languages in print and see how many there are!

More Halloween...

I know, you all thought it wasn't possible! BUT...I have MORE Halloween photos! My friend just sent these to me, and I thought they were too cute to not show you! :) So enjoy just a few more...if you want! :)

Happy Halloween!!!

(I apologize in advance for the length of this post!...you have been warned!) I hope all of you had a fabulous and safe Halloween! We had a great one! We went to our friends house so our two daughters could go Trick or Treating together. This was Kylie's first time trick or treating!! It was so much fun! The dads and the girls went trick or treating while the moms stayed home and passed out candy. The moms did get to go to the first door though! When the dads and girls came back...we even decorated sugar cookies. (Ok...more like frantically spread some frosting on them and ate them as fast as we could. :) What? It was late and the girl's had to get in bed. We had to squeeze in that last minute sugar rush...right?!)

Anyway: it was a fabulous evening. Thanks Young's! I would love to hear all about everyone's Halloween though, so post on your blog, send me an email with pictures, telegram, or messenger carrier pigeon or something...but I want to hear/see!

What was Kylie for Halloween you might ask?! Well....I guess it's time for the show!! (Sorry for the million pictures!

Yes...our little girl was a chick! She looked ABSOLUTELY adorable in her costume and it was SO FUNNY to see how much she LOVED it! I actually tried it on in the store, and she did NOT want me to take it off. :) She just walked around and around and laughed her head off. I was cracking up myself. She seriously thought she was so funny. I never thought she would want to wear it, and especially didn't think she'd keep the hood part on, but she didn't care at all. She was excited to put it on. SO FUN!!

It took a few houses for Kylie to figure it out, but she did figure out that every house you went to someone answered and gave you something fun to hold/eat. So then she started booking it to the doors. At one house she had the chance to pick a container of Play-Doh or candy. What did she pick? Why candy of course! :) Smart kid!
After it was all figured out in their heads, once the girls got to the door...they knew to knock and just reach their hand out. Something fun and shiny (and probably yummy) would be placed in their hand or bucket.

Kylie always had to have something in each of her hands. She couldn't leave the candy in her bucket....she had to reach in and get it right away.

They actually were gone longer than I thought they would make it. The dads and their girls had a lot of fun together and came home just laughing with the dads telling us all the stories. I just had to laugh at my little chick trying to climb up the front stair.

Is this not the cutest chick you have ever seen?! She was excited to get inside and see her mama, so I was excited for that! My little Trick or Treater.
Notice the candy in both hands. She even became known as "the candy thief" by the end of the night because she would go to her friend's bucket and try to take her candy out.

Not a happy chick being made to stop and take a picture where there was candy to see and eat. Notice the Butterfinger? Well....as I said she always had to have something in each of her hands while they were walking around. So Brian let her. At one point Brian thought he started to smell a Butterfinger. So he looks down and Kylie figured out how to open it herself...just chew through the wrapper! She had eaten almost all of the Butterfinger she had in her hand! She doesn't get many sweets at home so I guess she wanted to live it up while she could! Happy Halloween everyone! Hope you had a great night!

Busy day...

Yesterday was a fun and busy day. Grandma was in town, so Kylie got to spend some time with her. Even though she doesn't always show it, she sure loves her Grandma! We also got to go out to lunch with Grandma, Aunt Jan the Great, and Cousin Emily and Bailey. It was great to see them and have 3 generations together! (Although I wanted a picture of that and forgot to get one of all of us together!) It's amazing how time flies and it's amazing that I am now the one carrying on the family line. It feels like just yesterday the comments Em and I were hearing from our mothers were, "I wish you girls were more lady like like your mothers!" This was then followed by a not so lady like action! :) Ahhhh...the memories.

When Brian came home from work, we had a bunch of errands to run. One of those was to stop by his office to pick up something. So Kylie got to play. She loves to push buttons (on the phones, remote controls, keyboards, etc, etc) and she had so much to play with in Daddy's office. She also got a ride down the hall on Daddy's chair and got to do some exploring. This age has been SO MUCH FUN to see how much she loves to figure things out and watch her get so proud of herself when she does something all on her own for the first time! I love being a mom, and it just gets better and better!
